Sy Yules is a FRA Certified Yoga Teacher. He teaches Hatha yoga in the tradition as taught by Krishnamacharya. This tradition has postures fit the person and not the other way around. This style recommends modifications to fit individual needs. This tradition couples the breath to the postures along with transitions between postures. Ones moves in and out of the postures before holding the postures. Sequences are created to provide a balanced practice and provide proper preparation for asanas. Classes feature a balance of energetic and relaxing asana flows.
Sy teaches an Ashtanga Primary Series inspired sequence. Core strengthening postures have been added.

The "Ha" in Hatha yoga means sun and the "tha" means moon. Hatha yoga strives to unite the left and right sides of our body. The unity is thought to take our astable being to a lower state, a calmer state, one of higher consciousness and sensitivity.
Indians at Chaco Canyon, New Mexico circa 850 A.D., built a calender from three stones and a drawing on the wall. The sun is on the left and the nine and quarter year cycle of the moon's rising point on the horizon is drawn on the wall. At the Winter Solstice, the sun's rays surround the drawing of the moon's cycles.
